Boys basketball: Century (N.D.) 55, Hockinson 36

Century 55, Hockinson 36 — Hockinson ran out of energy in the fourth quarter and fell to Century of Bismarck, N.D. at the Energy Classic in Gillette, Wyo.

Hockinson coach Matt Gruhler said the tournament game in Gillette, Wyo., was close until the end of the third quarter.

Senior point guard Doug Macdonald was playing for the first time in two weeks after an injury.

The day wasn’t a complete loss for the Hawks. After the game, they drove to see Mount Rushmore in neighboring South Dakota.

The Hawks play Natrona Valley of Casper, Wyo., at 9:45 a.m. Thursday.
