The Prairie Falcons opened the Coeur d’Alene Inn-vitational against the top-ranked team from Idaho.
“And they played like it, too,” Prairie coach Kyle Brooks said.
Marcus Colbert, who has signed with Montana State, made six 3-pointers and scored 22 points to lead Post Falls to the 32-point victory.
“The first quarter kind of told the story,” Brooks said.
Colbert had 12 of his points in the period as Post Falls jumped out to a 23-6 lead.
Andy Hak led Prairie (5-3) with 9 points. Ryan Denny added eight.
Prairie will face Chiawana of Pasco in the consolation bracket at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
