Girls basketball: Mountain View 60, Washougal 42

Carly Holboke continued her hot start to the season, scoring 24 points to lead Class 3A Mountain View past 2A Washougal.

Emma DuChesne added 12 points for the Thunder, who used an 18-7 advantage in the second quarter to take command of the contest.

Holboke has scored 19 or more points in six of her team’s seven games this season.

Maddie Down led Washougal with 18 points. She also had 11 rebounds. Kendall Utter had 12 points and five assists. Megan Townsend had a team-high 14 rebounds.
