Recount confirms Plinski as Washougal council race winner

In an automatic recount announced Monday, stay-at-home mother of three Caryn Plinski held off 19-year council veteran Rodney Morris to win a seat on the Washougal council. Plinski won 1,499 to 1,491, the same margin as last Tuesday, when the election results were first certified, said Tim Likness, Clark County elections supervisor.
