Vancouver police are investigating a report that three armed men wearing ski masks robbed a home in the Ogden neighborhood Saturday evening.

The call came in at 6:17 p.m. from a home in the 3900 block of Pacific Way, which adjoins the BPA transmission lines just east of the Vancouver Plaza shopping center.

According to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian, the homeowners said three masked men, armed with guns, entered the home and demanded money. On the way out, they broke a television and took the homeowners’ cell phones, which they threw on the ground.

They apparently fled west toward the shopping center complex, where police looked for about an hour.

Police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said the investigation will continue, but there is no reason to believe there is a threat to the general public.

This is the second report in two days of armed robbers accosting a Clark County homeowner. On Friday evening, a man with a gun robbed a Hazel Dell couple about 7 p.m. as they arrived home in their car. A shot was fired, but no one was injured. He escaped with a few dollars.
