Evergreeen 58, Mountain View 56 — Caleb Dressler, the 6-11 Hawaii-bound center for the Evergreen Plainsmen, used that height to secure his team’s third win of the week.
Dressler blocked two shots in the final 10 seconds to keep Evergreen in the lead. He finished with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocked shots. He had four dunks.
Jalen Ballard had 10 points, six assists, and four steals for Evergreen.
Austin Gurnsey and Jahmil Johnson each made two free throws in the final minute to help the Plainsmen.
Evergreen coach Kelly Blankenship estimated there were 10 lead changes in the second half.
Zach Torson led Mountain View with 26 points. Luke Duchesne added 15 points.
The Thunder scored 24 points in the first quarter, but then were held to six in the second quarter.
