Fetitia is a 9-year-old Bandog — an English mastiff, American Staffordshire terrier mix. She knows lots of commands, including sit, down, stay wait and come. She takes treats gently and waits to be told to eat her food. Fetitia will need to meet any male dogs she will be spending time with and needs a home without other female dogs. She also loves being outside and laying in the sun.

Ace Ventura is a 5-year-old domestic long-hair brown tabby with white. He came to the shelter as a stray. Ace Ventura will need a home with children older than age 6 because he does not like to be held for long periods of time. He will need to be indoors only to keep his coat free of mats.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
