Fruit Valley — When Matt Graves decided to raise money for the Hough Foundation’s Pool Pal Scholarship Fund, he decided to go straight to the top — of Mount Adams, that is. The Environmental Project Manager at the Port of Vancouver enlisted colleagues Andrew Ness and Jonathan Eder to join him in the feat. Although they had to turn back about 3,000 feet short of the summit due to inclement weather, the trio was able to raise more than $1,800 — enough to cover swimming expenses for youth at the Marshall Pool during Hough Summer Camp. The climbers are considering another climb in August or September if schedules and weather allows.
