Bennington — Twenty-eight teams of pajama-clad bowlers from Vancouver helped raise more than $125,000 for area foster children at the Sleep Country Foster Kids Pajama Bowl, mattress retailer Sleep Country USA’s annual fundraiser. Bowlers at the Big Al’s Vancouver site raised more than $25,000 at the March 20 event. Another event was held March 13 at the Big Al’s in Beaverton, Ore. Nearly 1,000 bowlers from Washington and Oregon participated in the event. The money raised during the two events will be distributed to nonprofit foster care organizations throughout the two states.
