Sifton — The Heritage High School store has achieved Gold Level Certification from DECA and will be recognized at the International Career Development Conference, held April 30 to May 3 in Florida.

The School-Based Enterprise was one of 42 school stores nationwide getting this award. Heritage students Michael Youngs and Sunny Pisano worked with their adviser Shawn Perez and store aide, Melissa Halstead to get the certification.

The school store at Heritage High School has operated an SBE for 11 years. SBE’s are designed to give students work experience and management, supervision and leadership skills before transitioning into the working world.
