Chavo Camargo kicked a 21-yard field with 23 seconds to lift the Thunder in a game that had five lead changes in the second half.
P.J. Jones rushed for 219 yards on 18 carries and scored two touchdowns, and Jeff Carmody had 100 yards on 10 carries and one touchdown to lead the Thunder.
After Heritage took a 29-27 lead on Garrett Worle’s 35-yard field — his third of the game — with 3:55 left, Mountain View drove 67 yards on 11 plays to set up the game-winning kick.
Heritage controlled the first half, taking a 17-7 lead into the intermission. But Jones broke free on a 65-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage in the second half, and the fireworks started at McKenzie Stadium.
