When, where: 8 p.m. Friday at McKenzie Stadium
Records: Mountain View (2-1); Heritage (0-3); non-league game
Game notes: An 0-3 team doesn’t want to talk about moral victories. But Heritage’s showing against Skyview was encouraging for the Timberwolves and a source of confidence. … Mountain View came away from its 20-13 win over Prairie lucky to come away with a win, but looking for improvement. … Heritage has been going with a two-QB system, but Riley O’Dell set himself apart with an outstanding second half against Skyview. … O’Dell was 18 of 23 for 273 yards as he helped rally Heritage and force overtime. … Mountain View lives off its ground attack and defense. … P.J. Jones leads the Thunder with 406 rushing yards. … O’Dell has passed for 619 yards and four TDs for Heritage.
The Columbian’s take: Heritage seemed to find itself after falling short in a rally against Mark Morris in Week 2 and Skyview in Week 3. If the Timberwolves can jump out to an early lead on Mountain View, that could be the key. If the Thunder set the tone with their ground game, they could control the game. But we’re pretty impressed with O’Dell. PICK: HERITAGE
