The Class 2B state semifinalists from last year showed their experience against the younger squad from Hockinson.

Freshman quarterback Jess Krahn played the entire game for the Hawks, completing 6 of 12 passes for 82 yards.

Hockinson coach Rick Steele said he was pleased with how Krahn played in his first complete game.

“We are just young and taking our lumps,” Steele said.

Steele said the Hockinson defense played well despite the final score.
