The Columbian
Published: September 16, 2010, 12:00am

When, where: 7 p.m. Friday at Schroeder Field, Kelso

Records: Kelso (2-0, 1-0) vs. Hudson’s Bay (0-2, 0-0); 3A GSHL game

Game notes: Kelso has gone 2-0 on the strength of its opportunistic defense. … The Hilanders gave up six points to Mark Morris, and three points to Columbia River. … Both Kelso foes produced more turnovers than points. …. Kelso forced eight turnovers from Mark Morris, seven from Columbia River. … That comes as bad news to Bay, who lost five fumbles in a loss to Washougal in Week 1. … Bay protected the ball better last week against R.A. Long, but had trouble moving the ball. Bay had six first downs. … Cory Torgrimson leads Bay with 160 rushing yards, but 51 came on one carry.

The Columbian’s take: Bay had scored seven points all season. Kelso has given up nine points. Not a good mix for the Eagles. Pick: Kelso
