Woodland beat Ridgefield 41-14 last season, the fourth consecutive year the Beavers have beaten the Spudders. … The Beavers are young and inexperienced this season, but they had a solid showing against a good Kalama team, with the Chinooks winning 25-13. … Woodland was tied 13-13 in the fourth quarter, but fumbled the ball away twice in the final quarter. … Cy Whitemore rushed for 90 yards and touchdown and WR Nick Fuller had three catches for 68 yards and TD for Woodland. … Dylan Young helped Ridgefield get the season off to a positive start with a 24-23 win over Fort Vancouer.
