Prep football Week 2: Battle Ground vs. Fort Vancouver

Records: Battle Ground 0-1, Fort Vancouver 0-1; non-league game

Game notes: This is the first meeting between these schools in seven years. … Battle Ground could get little going on the ground in a 27-3 loss to Columbia River. … QB Chris Paul completed 13 of 27 passes for 155 yards. He also had three interceptions. … Battle Ground’s Tyler Bergeron caught six passes for 70 yards. … Fort nearly rallied from 21-0 deficit against Ridgefield. But when a late two-point conversion failed, the Trappers lost 24-23. … Fort QB Richard Vansiclen completed 8 of 13 passes for 133 yards and two TDs. Fort also had three early drops … Fort’s Jordan Vela rushed 11 times for 104 yards. He also was on the receiving end of a 61-yard TD pass play.
