Washougal 10, Hudson’s Bay 7
Colton Sullivan completed an 8-yard pass to Sam O’Hara with 28 seconds left to send Bob Jacobs to a win in his first game as head coach.
Trailing 7-3, Washougal took over on its own 27 yard line with 6:14 left to play. The Panthers drove 73 yards in 12 plays, the first 11 being running plays.
After having an apparent go-ahead touchdown nullified by a penalty, the Panthers faced second-and-5 at the Bay 8. Sullivan dropped back to pass and was almost sacked at the 15 yard line. But he broke free, rolled to the right to find O’Hara open by the right pylon for the win.
Sullivan, who kicked a 40-yard field goal in the first quarter, completed 9 of 13 passes for 92 yards, while O’Hara caught four passes for 46 yards.
Cory Torgimson rushed for 134 yards on 12 carries for Bay, which turned the ball over five times on fumbles.
