No need to go to Seattle to purchase your tickets for the Emerald City Kickoff Classic at Qwest Field.

Tickets are on sale for Saturday’s five-game event at Camas and Union high schools this week. The Camas business office is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. If purchasing tickets at Union, go to the ASB office from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $15 for adults, $12 for students, and that covers all five games.

Camas plays Timberline of Lacey at 3 p.m., while Union faces Bellevue at 5:30 p.m.

The Classic kicks off with a 9:30 a.m. game between Life Christian/Seattle Christian and Seattle Lutheran. At noon, Nooksack Valley takes on Cascade Christian. The Clark County squads will take the field the next two games, and the “main event” is the 8 p.m. contest between Bothell and Mission Viejo, Calif.

Fund a Falcon, Tiger — Battle Ground Public Schools have set up a way for the community to donate funds which will aid athletes who are having a difficult time coming up with the district’s user fees.

The district’s athletes are required to pay $85 per sport and purchase an ASB card for $35.

Donations can be made at the ASB office in each of the high schools — Battle Ground or Prairie — or through mail: BGSD, attn: Business Services. P.O. Box 200, Battle Ground, Wa, 98604.

For more information, contact Travis Drake, Prairie’s athletic director/assistant principal at 360-885-5014. Or Karla Kalian, Battle Ground’s athletic director/assistant principal at 360-885-6562.
