When, where: 7 p.m. Friday at District Stadium, Battle Ground

Records: Battle Ground (1-7); Prairie (3-5); non-league game

Game notes: This is a matchup of two teams looking to end the season on a positive note. … Prairie has improved in recent weeks, losing 27-21 to Columbia River, beating Hudson’s Bay 27-21 and losing to Kelso 28-14. … Prairie’s Colin Seitz has passed for 1,380 yards this season. … The Falcons have several talented receivers, led by Avi Slifer, who has 27 catches and 5 TDs this season. … Battle Ground’s lone win came on Sept. 16 in a 20-14 overtime win over winless Woodland. … Since then, the Tigers have lost five in a row by an average margin of 42 points. .. Battle Ground has won the last four meetings with the Falcons.

The Columbian’s take: Prairie can move the ball and score points. Defense has been the Falcons’ undoing this season. But Battle Ground has averaged 3 points a game in its last three games. PICK: Prairie
