Last spring, Donna Aho masterminded a free-stuff giveaway at her church. Community generosity and need were both so strong that turnout was far greater than anything Aho expected, so Aho is organizing another Sharing is Caring event.
The event will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 11 and 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 13 at the Apostolic Lutheran Church, 16108 N.E. 192nd Ave., Hockinson. Set-up begins at 1 p.m. Nov. 9.
Aho is again looking for donations of quality used clothing, shoes, household items, books and toys. Everything will be given for free to people in need; the only rule is no resales.
“In these tough economic times we all need to look out for and help one another,” she said.
