1B Southwest Washington: King’s Way 82, Wishkah 58

The Knights improved to 4-0 in the Southwest Washington 1B eight-man football league by outscoring the visiting Wishkah Valley Loggers on Saturday at the Washington School for the Deaf stadium.

Quarterback Jay Becker threw for 347 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 210 yards and three scores to lead King’s Way to its first win over Wishkah Valley in the three seasons of the Knight’s program.

Josh Russell scored four touchdowns, two rushing and two receivings. He totaled 86 yards rushing and 111 receiving.

Dan Butler and J.R. Ehling scored two rushing touchdowns for King’s Eay. Seb Baker ran for a score, and Carter Coval caught a touchdown pass.

The Knights outscored Wishkah (3-3, 1-3 league) 20-8 in the fourth quarter to put away the win.

King’s Way improved to 4-2 overall. The Knights travel to Tahola on Friday for a clash of league unbeaten teams.
