In a game that featured few big offensive plays, one perfect pass separated the Falcons from the Eagles at Kiggins Bowl.
Prairie quarterback Coleman Weisenborn hit Tyler Vea in stride up the seam for a 50-yard scoring play that broke a fourth-quarter tie. That pass with 4:15 remaining stood up when the Falcon defense made stops on two Hudson’s Bay possessions that moved inside the Falcon 30 in the closing seconds.
The Eagles ran for close to 300 yards, but the Falcons’ defense made most of the big plays.
Jesse Zalk intercepted two passes, including the win-clincher in the final seconds, and the Prairie defense had five takeaways.
