Fort will try to regroup after coming unglued in a 56-7 loss to Mountain View last week. … Columbia River’s season is a mirror image of Fort’s, having won three in a row after losing back-to-back games in September. … After scoring nine total points in those two losses, River is averaging 32 points a game in their last three wins. … River RB Remick Kawawaki has rushed for 627 yards and four touchdowns. He has rushed for more than 100 yards in each of River’s last three wins. … Fort QB Richard Vansiclen has passed for 776 yards this season, but struggled last week, going 9 of 18 for 57 yards.
Columbian’s take: Columbia River’s winning streak can be attributed to improvement, as the Chieftains have a young roster that is gaining experience and confidence each week.
