Prep football Week 7: Heritage vs. Camas

The Columbian
Published: October 14, 2010, 12:00am

When, where: 7 p.m. Friday at Doc Harris Stadium, Camas

Records: Heritage (1-5); Camas (6-0)

Game notes: Camas is ranked No. 2 in the Class 3A AP state poll … Heritage discovered last week that Union is really, REALLY good on defense. … Heritage QB Riley O’Dell, who has passed for 1,385 yards this season, was limited to a season-low 51 yards against the Titans. … Heritage scored two TDs against Union — one on a kickoff return and one on an interception return. … Camas is defense is really good, too. The Papermakers have not allowed a team to score more than 15 points all season. … Heritage has struggled with its run defense, which could mean a big game for Camas RB Zack Marshall. … Camas QB Logan Grindy has passed for 1103 yards and 11 TDs.

Columbian’s take: Heritage’s offense makes the Timberwolves a dangerous foe, despite their 1-5 record. But Camas’ defense has had success against passing teams like Skyview and Prairie. PICK: Camas
