Stevenson 21, Ridgefield 12

Stevenson built a 21-0 halftime lead and held on in the second half, remaining unbeaten and winning a in Class 1A Trico League action.

Russell Kyle scored twice in the first half, on passes of 11 yards and 46 yards from Zach Castro, as the Bulldogs built their lead.

Ridgefield got a touchdown from Marcus Deal in the third quarter and another from Dylan Young in the fourth. But the Spudders were unable to convert either extra-point attempt and never could close within one score of the lead.

“Our defense had some stops inside the 10 that probably saved the game,” Stevenson coach Craig McKee said.
