When, where: 7 p.m. Friday at Longview Memorial Stadium

Records: R.A. Long (3-1, 0-0); Washougal (3-1, 0-0); 2A GSHL game

Game notes: R.A. Long used solid defense to open up 3-0, outscoring opponents 55-16. … But that changed dramatically last week, when the Lumberjacks fell to No. 3 Centralia 46-14. … R.A. Long and Washougal share a common opponent. Washougal beat Hudson’s Bay 10-7 in Week 1; R.A. Long beat Bay 14-0 in Week 2. … Kick returner Jacob Yordy has been a special teams threat for R.A. Long. … All three of Washougal’s wins this season have come on the road … Last week at Clatskanie, Ore., Sam O’Hara rushed for two touchdowns, and Ryan Erdwins scored another … Colton Sullivan had a 41-yard field goal.

The Columbian’s take: It’s been a great start for Washougal this season, and win over the Lumberjacks would be a big boost to the program. However, the Lumberjacks also are playing well and are home. PICK: R.A. Long
