Teenage girls ages 14 to 17 are eligible to apply for a scholarship through Soroptimist International of Southwest Washington.
The organization is accepting applications for the Violet Richardson Award Program through Dec. 1.
Applicants should actively volunteer in the community to help other disadvantaged girls; fight drugs, crime or violence; clean the environment; and work to end discrimination or poverty.
