Lynn R. Siewert has completed the chartered retirement plans specialist program at the College for Financial Planning in Denver. Siewert is the founder of Advanced Corporate Planning and has been in business nearly 30 years.

Ellery Bennett has been appointed executive director of Waterford at Fairway Village, a 55 and older retirement community. Prior to joining Waterford, Bennett served as administrator at Woodland Retirement & Assisted Living Community in Lacey. He has more than 30 years experience in the industry.

• The Southwest chapter of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants has elected its board of directors for the upcoming year. Trayson Harmon will continue to serve as chapter president and Julius Agbayani was selected as chapter vice president. Agbayani is an accountant at the firm of Houck and Associates in Vancouver. David Stubing was selected as chapter secretary.

Lisa M. Christopher was chosen by the Downtown Camas Association as its first Main Street program manager. Christopher, of Camas, has worked locally with several museums, serves on local heritage committees and, as an independent heritage tourism consultant, has written a book and numerous articles. She will build on a grass-roots network of merchants and shopkeepers that will focus on a series of activities to attract interest to the downtown area.

Dr. Bradly Edgerton of the Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic of the Northwest in Vancouver recently attended a conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, on the latest developments in hearing care. Edgerton met with leading audiologists, researchers and engineers.

Three Brothers Vineyard & Winery has won a silver medal at the West Coast competition in Rhonert Park, Calif., for its 2007 Syrah. The winery also picked up a gold award for their 2007 Merlot at the Seattle Wine Awards, the largest wine competition in Washington. Three Brothers is at 2411 N.E. 244th St., Ridgefield.

MacKay & Sposito Inc. received honorable mention at the Corporations for Communities award ceremony at Secretary of State Sam Reed’s office May 19 in Olympia. Twice a year Reed selects one small and one large corporation from Washington to recognize with medallions. The certificate recognizes MacKay & Sposito’s contribution to the community and service to the people of Washington.
