Kipper is an 8 year old, male, white with red tabby Domestic Short Hair. He came to us as a stray so we don’t know much about his past. He wasn’t too happy when he first came in but after a couple of days of us taking care of him, he realized that no one was going to hurt him. He is a very sweet boy that seems to get along well with everyone he meets. He is a little older, so he is nice and laid-back; he seems to have the personality of a lap cat.

Phantom is a one-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound. He was named Phantom because he looks just like the Phantom of the Opera. He came all the way from the South to meet you. Phantom will need a home with a wood fenced yard since hounds tend to wander.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
