AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) — Air Force baseball coach Mike Hutcheon was suspended by the Mountain West Conference for one game, following his second ejection in two days.

The conference says Hutcheon was barred from coaching the Air Force-UNLV game Sunday in Las Vegas, after being ejected from games between the teams Friday and Saturday. Air Force lost 9-4 on Friday and 23-8 on Saturday.

An athletic department spokesman didn’t immediately return an e-mail seeking comment Sunday morning.

In April, athletic director Hans Mueh announced Hutcheon would step down at season’s end and be reassigned as an instructor within the department for the last two years on his contract.

The baseball program hasn’t had a winning season since 1995.
