Gerald is a 7-year-old American Staffordshire terrier. He’s a laid-back fella who would make a great companion. Bring any kids or female dogs in the home to meet him. A home with out male dogs and with a wood fence to help keep him safe and secure would be best. Please consider adopting a senior dog today.

Kitty Sue is a 2-year-old, female, brown tabby domestic shorthair. She came to us as a stray, so we don’t know much about her past. When she came here, she was very scared and sometimes cowers when something startles her. She would do best in a quiet home with no kids younger than 10. She is very sweet and purrs as soon as you start petting her and loves to snuggle. She doesn’t seem to mind other animals.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
