Cricket is a 5-year-old treeing walker coonhound and boxer mix. Cricket came to us from an abusive situation and has a sad story. Cricket’s ideal home would be one without children younger than 10 and kitties. Cricket would love a place by the fire and someone’s lap to lay his head in.

Wishbone is a very unique girl, much different looking than most black and whites. She is very loving and enjoys being petted as much as she can. Wishbone is an elderly girl in need of lots of love and would do best as the only cat in the home.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
