A 27-year-old Vancouver woman was cited on suspicion of vehicular assault and driving under the influence after she rolled her SUV near Salmon Creek this morning in a crash that sent her male passenger to an area hospital with a broken leg.

The wheels of Julia Young’s Nissan Xterra veered off the roadway and the car rolled when she overcorrected, according to a bulletin issued by the Washington State Patrol. Her passenger, Frank Lehrke, 32, of Vancouver was transported to Southwest Washington Medical Center.

Young suffered a minor contusion, according to the bulletin.

She was believed to have been traveling northbound on Interstate 205 when the vehicle rolled near the Interstate 5 interchange. The SUV came to a rest on its wheels facing the opposite direction.

The wreck was reported at about 1:45 a.m.

Clark County Fire District 6 also responded.
