A 51-year-old Brush Prairie man was fatally injured Friday evening when his motorcycle crashed with a car at Northeast 182nd Avenue and 139th Street in Hockinson, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Kenneth J. Reising was riding a 1996 Harley-Davidson north on Northeast 182nd Avenue about 9:30 p.m. Friday when an oncoming 1993 Ford Mustang, turning left on Northeast 139th Street, turned into his path, according to a bulletin.

Reising’s motorcycle struck the front of the Mustang, and Rei-sing was thrown from the motorcycle. He was found 50 feet north of the intersection. Efforts to revive the rider were not successful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mustang, Jeffrey Eraffle, 19, of Peterborough, N.H., was not injured.

Reising had been wearing a helmet, according to the bulletin. At this time there is no indication that alcohol was a factor, and the case is still under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit.
