EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Managers overseeing the businesses of a Sikh community founded in Oregon by Yogi Bhajan have been sued by his widow.

The Register-Guard reports that Bibiji Inderjit Kaur Puri of Los Angeles alleges her husband’s most trusted advisers drew up false documents and backdated them to make it appear as if he had approved what she described as their abandonment of orthodox Sikh practices.

The businesses include Golden Temple, a longtime Eugene natural foods company that had annual revenue of $125 million.

Golden Temple sold its cereal division in May. It still operates Yogi Tea, which has 50 employees in Springfield and 100 employees in Europe.

The lawsuit filed in Portland is seeking $150 million in damages. An attorney for the managers has denied similar allegations in other lawsuits.
