‘Green’ car-care event set Thursday at Eco Auto

A free workshop in Vancouver on Thursday will explore ways to lessen your car’s impact on the environment through basic driving techniques and the use of less-toxic alternatives. The event runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Eco Auto, 210 W. McLoughlin Blvd.

It includes hands-on experience with alternative cleaning products inside and outside the vehicle, along with advice from a car repair expert about cars and the local environment.

The event is co-sponsored by Washington State University Clark County Extension and the Clark County Clean Water Program. Pre-registration is required by calling 360-397-6060, ext. 0.

School board meets today at Bates Center

The Vancouver district school board will discuss class size averages and submit documentation of compliance with state basic education standards when it meets today.

The meeting begins at 4 p.m. in the Robert C. Bates Center for Educational Leadership, 2921 Falk Road.
