DEPLOYMENT

Army Pfc. Sara E. Stamper is deploying to Iraq as a member of the 201st Battlefield Surveillance Brigade from Fort Lewis. Stamper is a human intelligence collector with two years of military service. She is the daughter of Calvin Stamper and Dina Cross, both of Vancouver, and a 2006 graduate of Fort Vancouver High School.

ADVANCED TRAINING

Army Pvt. Joseph M. Ellenberger has graduated from Infantry One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. The course consisted of basic infantry training and advanced individual training. He is the son of Jill Ellenberger of Brush Prairie and Jeff Ellenberger of Vancouver.

Marine Corps Pvt. Kristian M. Frost, a 2004 graduate of Stevenson High School, has completed the Marine Corps Enlisted Warehouse Basic Course. Frost joined the Marine Corps in May 2009.

BASIC TRAINING

Navy Seaman Recruit Cody J. Deeney, son of Randy and Annette Deeney of Vancouver, has completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. He is a 2009 graduate of Heritage High School.

Navy Fireman Joshua S. Mapes, nephew of Mary Mapes of Vancouver, has completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. He is a 2003 graduate of Evergreen High School.

Navy Seaman Kaleb H. Morrison, a 2009 graduate of Hudson’s Bay High School, has completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. He is the son of Debrah and Eric Falkner of Vancouver.

Marine Corps Pfc. Andrew G. Navarro, son of Pam Navarro of Vancouver, has completed recruit training and has been assigned to the Reserve Center in Portland for Marine combat training. He is a 2009 graduate of Skyview High School.
