A 36-year-old man was taken to a Portland hospital Thursday after he was severely injured in an explosion, and his arm required partial amputation, according to fire officials. Read story

A firefighter from Fire District 6 puts out a field fire under the fireworks display at the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds. The fire wasn't unexpected and the fire department was already on hand but the fire marshal ended the fireworks show early to 'err on the side of safety.' No one was injured and no buildings were damaged.
