- Trauma Intervention Program of Portland/Vancouver Inc. seeks caring people to provide emotional support to victims of traumatic events, their families and friends. Volunteers work with local police, fire and emergency medical crews.
- Highgate Senior Living seeks compassionate companions to spend time with residents with memory loss. Read, go for a walk, do activities or sit and visit.
- Kids on the Block needs puppeteers to teach children about healthful eating, dealing with bullying, and preventing child abuse. Volunteers receive lively, interactive training.
- Girl Scouts needs a troop leader or co-leader. Introduce the program, which includes community service, leadership, financial introductions and outdoor adventure, and help the girls earn badges. Training and materials are provided. A background check is required.
- Southwest Washington Medical Center seeks assistants in the Infusion Center. Support patients receiving chemotherapy and other treatments, prepare snacks and beverages, stock supplies and run errands.
- Clark County Public Health needs an immunization assistant to help with paperwork, direct visitors and to serve refreshments.
- Council for the Homeless seeks a volunteer to answer the shelter hot line, collect data, refer resources and to learn about homeless resources available.
