Police: Missing man, 46, found dead, no foul play suspected

A 46-year-old man who was reported missing Sunday was found dead Monday in the area of Northwest Lower River Road and Northwest Old Lower River Road.

Vancouver police said in a press release that “there is no indication of a criminal act, and the immediate family has been made aware of the circumstances.”

Michael McClafferty, a manager at Vancouver Pizza Company, was reported missing by his wife Sunday. He was last seen about 11 a.m. departing an unspecified location in a 2017 Toyota Sienna minivan, according to a police press release.

His vehicle was located in the 6300 block of Northwest Lower River Road. Family and friends, and personnel from the Vancouver Police Department, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Vancouver Fire Department, and Clark County Search and Rescue searched the immediate area and found McClafferty’s body a short time later, according to police.
