Washougal – Washougal School District on Friday hired Mary Templeton as its new superintendent.
She begins her job July 1.
Templeton is currently the human resources director for certified personnel for Spokane Public Schools. She’s also worked as a dean of students, principal assistant and assistant principal, as well as a classroom teacher for 15 years.
Templeton replaces Michael Stromme, who will leave the district to become Vancouver Public Schools’ associate superintendent for administrative services.
