Nominees for Week 2 fall sports prep athlete of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian spring sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Sept. 16.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address, one vote per IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

SYDNEE DYER, SETON CATHOLIC GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: Dyer won a five-team Trico League meet at Vancouver Lake in 20:15.

DYLAN HENRY, UNION BOYS GOLF: Henry won a three-player playoff after shooting a 2-under 70 to win the Jeff Hudson Invitational.

DANIEL MATON, CAMAS BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: Maton placed fifth overall in the Gold Division of the Fort Steilacoom Invitational in 15:41.

ZOE MCBRIDE, PRAIRIE VOLLEYBALL: McBride had 32 kills, 25 digs and three aces in two non-league wins for the Falcons.

TRINITY PAULSEN, HOCKINSON GIRLS SOCCER: Paulsen had five goals as the Hawks opened league play with a pair of victories.
