Authorities are investigating after a body was found floating in the Columbia River near the Interstate 205 bridge Monday afternoon.
Deputies with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office River Patrol responded to the report of a body in the river about 1 p.m. Monday and discovered a male dead in the water, the agency reported.
Detectives with the sheriff’s office responded and are conducting a death investigation.
The body was turned over to the Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office. Further details are pending identification and family notification.
