Vancouver – The Community Foundation for Southwest Washington awarded the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools a $10,000 grant to expand the community schools model, according to the news release.
The Community Schools Initiative is a partnership between the foundation — the nonprofit agency that supports the district — and the district. The program provides services for families from low-income households or who are homeless through resources centers that provide food pantries, free clothing, referrals to services and other care for families.
