The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is looking for residents interested in assisting law enforcement in the Neighbors on Watch program.

After receiving training, NOW volunteers patrol in pairs throughout the county looking for suspicious activity in areas where property crimes are frequent. They also attend community events and participate in other assignments as needed.

Residents looking to enhance the livability of their neighborhoods are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, pass a background check and complete the training academy. NOW participants must commit to volunteering four hours per month.

For more information on volunteer qualifications, visit www.clark.wa.gov/sheriff/neighbors-watch.

Applications for the fall academy are due by Sept. 15. To request an application, call 360-397-2211 ext. 3380 or email sheriffcommunityoutreach@clark.wa.gov
