BELLINGHAM — Authorities say an experimental aircraft similar to a powered hang glider crashed into Lake Samish in northwestern Washington state on Sunday morning.
Investigators tell KOMO-TV that the male pilot avoided injury and used parts of the craft to paddle to shore.
Officials didn’t provide a cause for the crash.
