Letter: Attend caucus, support Sanders

By Denise Trasatti, Vancouver

As a fervent supporter of Bernie Sanders, I’m often disappointed by the lack of mainstream media coverage for Sanders and his campaign.

I’m writing as a service to other supporters who may feel the same and want their voices heard by attending and voting in the Washington State Caucus on March 26. Don’t be confused by the fact that Washington state has both a primary (by mail or ballot drop) and caucus. Voting in a caucus is the only way your vote to send a delegate for Bernie Sanders to the Democratic Party convention will count.

Please go to www.bernadvisory.org to find your precinct’s caucus location. You can also preregister, and if you can’t attend the caucus, you can fill out a surrogate affidavit (must be submitted by March 18) to have your vote count.

The Bernie Sanders Campaign has its headquarters at 400 E. Evergreen Boulevard in The Academy building if you’d like to know more, volunteer, or just meet other like-minded Vancouverites.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
