EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, N.J. — The southern New Jersey town where Christina Grimmie grew up will hold a candlelight vigil to honor the singer who was fatally shot after a weekend concert in Florida.

Evesham Township Mayor Randy Brown says the vigil will be held at 8:45 p.m. Monday at the town’s Memorial Complex.

The 22-year-old Grimmie was shot Friday night as she signed autographs after a show in Orlando.

Authorities say she apparently had no personal connection to the man who shot her. The gunman fatally shot himself after being tackled by her brother.

Grimmie was a YouTube star who was widely known from her appearances on NBC’s “The Voice” two years ago.

Grimmie lived in Evesham, a small community about 20 miles from Philadelphia, before moving to Los Angeles in 2012.
