Letter: Congresswoman does good work

By Willie Dickerson, SNOHOMISH

Nancy Curtiss is right to applaud Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler on supporting the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria (“Kudos to Herrera Beutler,” letters, July 25). The Global Fund is on track to save 22 million lives since 2002 and will save another 8 million, if funding is continued for the next three years.

Herrera Beutler has also worked with both senators to support funding for the Zika threat. So, thanks to the congresswoman and I hope she keeps up the good work to fund the Zika battle and continue funding the Global Fund to fight these diseases.
