PORTLAND — Portland police say one homeless person is suspected of shooting another on the Springwater Corridor Trail east of Southeast 82nd Avenue.
Sgt. Pete Simpson says a 48-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound that’s not considered life-threatening. Officers have detained a person of interest, but the investigation remains active Tuesday morning.
The trail is known for having a large number of homeless campers.
